To all appearances, this ballad supplements the poems and songs of the section “There Was Once a Man”.
There is a close in spirit song by Vladimir Vysotsky, it is “I’ve gotten into a scrape, now I can’t leave the earth...”
The ballad was written for the film “The Sannikov Land” (1973).
