Poems and Songs of Vladimir Vysotsky. A Tale about the Wood Dwellers.

What to do? None of them had a thought...Translated by Akbar Muhammad.

What to do? None of them had a thought,
And as always they started to dine,
Play and trick, laugh and joke, in short,
They resolved to take pleasure of life.

Though there was wine on the table,
They soon had a fiery talk:
Which thing is more proper for lady —
To fly on a broom or a fork?
