Commentary to “A Ballad of Hatred”.
This ballad calls to mind the words of the surah “The Pilgrimage” (ayah 39): “Permission (to fight) is given to those [believers] who are fought against, because they have been wronged; and surely, Allah is able to give them victory.”
The ballad was written in 1975 for the film “The Arrows of Robin Hood”, see commentary to “A Ballad of Time”.
