Commentary to “A WEDDING SONG”.
The first, second, third, fourth, fifth and seventh songs, also written in 1974, are “Skomorokhs at the Fair”, “Nightingale the Robber’s Serenade”, “The Tsar’s Decree”, “The Duo of the Cashier and the Treasurer”, “A Marching Song” and “A Wedding Song”. These songs were written for the film “Ivan and Maria” (1974), the songs “Skomorokhs at the Fair”, “The Duo of the Cashier and the Treasurer” and “A Wedding Song” were not performed in the film.
