Commentary to the song “THE ESCAPE”.
The second song, also written in 1977, is “The Escape”. This song is dedicated to V a d i m T u m a n o v, who was a friend of Vladimir Vysotsky. He is the prototype of the main character of Vladimir Vysotsky and Leonid Monchinsky’s novel “The Black Candle” (1976 ‒ 1984) (this novel is in Russian) and the author of the autobiographical book “To lose everything — and start again with a dream...” (2004).
