Commentary to the song “The Mist”.

Here is stanza 1:

There are numerous marvels after this mist’s bewilderment:
It’s not easy to come, fall in with them and take.
There were the two tries, but the Lord loves the Trinity —
Shame will be upon us if we turn back again.

The two tries mean Judaism and Christianity, and the third one is Islam — the divine way, as it was said about by Porphyry Ivanov, peace be upon him, through whom the best religion was again offered to all the nations, as it was promised by the Holy Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, saying, “The religion began strange, and it will become strange again just like it was at the beginning, so blessed are the strangers who restore what the people corrupt of my Sunnah.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, hadith 2630.)

“The Lord loves the Trinity” is a paraphrase of the Russian proverb “God loves the Trinity”.

The song was written in 1968 for the film “Taiga’s Master” (1968), offered for the film “My Papa is a Captain” (1969).
