Commentary to the song “The Sea-Gull”.

The third final lines of the seventh stanza are a poetic reflection of what will happen to the persons deserved this in the Day of Requital, what Porphyry Ivanov, peace be upon him, called Evolution, when man, speaking in his words, will become a person of easy temper:

I’ll dissolve in the self,

I’ll, with my silhouette,

 merge for all future time.

The song was written in 1973, performed in the play of the Memorial Lenin Komsomol Theater “Extraordinary Adventures on the Volga Steamer” (1984).
