Poems and Songs of Vladimir Vysotsky. My Gypsy Song.
Commentary to the poem “Our port isn’t visited by steamers...”
As the poem “I’ll tell you what will happen, friends...”, this one narrates about a global glaciation to come — and also about the glaciation of our souls. These poems bear relation to the warning of Porphyry Ivanov, peace be upon him, that it will be too late to learn to live in harmony with Nature when falls from the height a “small thing”.
The poem was written in 1969.
